Earth USA the Sixth International Earthbuilding and Architecture Conference

Earth USA 2011 will take place September 30, October 1 and 2 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. We now have close to fifty abstracts of proposed presentations from as far away as Beijing, Bangladesh and Bulgaria, the Three B's of Adobe. Closer to home, Bernalillo.

These abstracts will soon be posted on the Conference webpage. Classes, workshops, seminars, demonstrations and tours will surround the Conference. It can safely be said that this will be the biggest earth construction and architecture gathering in the USA since Adobe 90 took place in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

This will be an opportunity to meet local and world leaders in the earthbuilding movement. State of the art techniques developed around 2000 BC will be displayed alongside the old and traditionall methods. Meet your mentors, peers and competitors at this event.

Please help!!!I'm considering the purchase of a wee adobe casita in El Prado NM and the interior walls were given what appears to be a stucco skin. As the result of a badly leaking roof, the stucco is coming off in chunks. Is it too ambitious to think that an energetic senior might be able to chip off the stucco and re apply adobe to the walls? Also some exterior doors need replacing, should that be done before or after the new application of adobe. Thanks in advance.

Can we use stuccolite or some other plaster over our painted interior adobe walls? how can we recreate that natural lustrous finish?
